The tech genius has now paired devices with much more convenient and accessible devices like cell phones and laptops. This is the trend for some of the greatest generations and their gadgets. Mobile phones are currently one of the most widespread and popular devices over generations due to their ease of use and durability.
CELL PHONES FOR GENERATIONS
Mobile phones are one of the most used devices in
the world and adults between the ages of 18 and 65 are all equipped with this
device. 85% of adults living in America own at least one cell phone, and they
are being used beyond what they were designed for. 76% of cell phone owners
have taken pictures with their cell phone, while 72% of cell phone users also
use this device to send text messages. People of earlier generations, who
belong to the age group 75 and over, also own a mobile phone. 48% of people in
this age group in America own cell phones. Even people without their own mobile
phone come from a household in which there is at least one working mobile
phone. This makes the mobile phone one of the most popular gadgets of all
generations.
DESKTOPS AND LAPTOPS THROUGH THE GENERATIONS
The world of desktop computers is one of the most
revolutionary creations of this era. However, the use of desktop computers has
declined somewhat since 2006, with laptops starting to take center stage in
this market. About 76% of all adults own at least one desktop or laptop
computer, and of these, 59% own a desktop computer while the remaining 52% own
laptops. Laptop owners have been shown to be relatively younger and newer
generations who prefer the portability that laptops easily offer. Millennial
are more likely to own a netbook or laptop than a desktop computer. 70% of
Millennial used laptops compared to desktops used by 57% of Millennial. Among
Gen X adults, 69% own a desktop computer, while 61% use laptops.
MP3 PLAYERS THROUGH THE GENERATIONS
MP3 players are among the devices that have shown
the greatest shortcomings and capabilities of the generation. Why 47% of all
adults own an MP3 player or iPod, 74% of them are millennial, while only 56% of
these adults are Gen X. If you look at older adults, they are over 75 and only
3% of that category. Use an MP3 player.
GAME CONSOLES THROUGH THE GENERATIONS
A total of 42% of adults use gaming consoles and are
most popular with millennial and Gen Xers. 63% of adults aged 18-46 use some
type of console game like PlayStation or Xbox. . However, the rates for 47 to
56 year olds drop significantly to 38%. Homeownership rates are even falling
for less than 19% of older baby boomers and up to 8% for the silent generation.
As the generations move towards modernization, the
use of gadgets has also evolved from generation to generation. With the
development of different generations and their gadgets, no matter what shape or
form, it has always played an
important role in people's lives.
